I kept an eye on Craigslist. I found my quick detach back rest for fifty bucks. It has the provisions to bolt on a small rack. My fatboy would require a turn signal relocation kit, but grinding down the back rest bracket was quicker and cheaper. I was not paying the 400-500 bucks for the set up from the dealership.
