Ape hanger upgrade questions

Buddy has a 2008 Heritage Softail with stock bars and everything, he wants to put 16in ape hangers on it, wondering if anyone knew what the part numbers or length of the cables would have to be upgraded to, in order to compensate for the taller bars.

Probably the easiest thing for him to do is buy a kit from somewhere like Hill Country Custom Cycles, or Tejas Thump Cycles. They come prewired with controls and cables.

I put 14" apes on mine, I just got 6" over cables and front brake line and there is still plenty of slack, I'm sure that would work for 16" apes as well.
I just called Hill Country Cycles and ordered them. They sell so many cable kits, that you just have to tell them the bike and what bars you're using, and they will know what you need. I got the braided stainless cables and hose. they're a little more money, but they look great.
