I have 87 flst that has a backrest made on side plates. the rest is short barely above the rear seat. It has 98 saddle bags, the rest and the saddle bags have the same mounting points ,mounting plates is about 7 1/2 " overall about 6 1/4 center spacing @ mounting points .the bike was built from ground up in2001.Point is I need detachable side plates that r 7 1/2 " @ 6 1/4 center mounts. stock 87-99 softail plates are about 3 " too long at mounting points. any help here HANG N @ ROPES END TKS IN ADAVANCE
