5th gear Whine

MoCo changed 5th gear in 2010,went to a helical cut.That stop the whine.Spectro 6 speed syn works great to quiet the noise.As a friend said (just turn up the radio)LOL.

I had the same problem with my 07 FLHRC, added Spectro 6 and although the whine is not totally gone it's considerably better.

AHHHHHH! Now I understand why the Speed Sensitive Volume control on the Harmon-Kardon stereo! It's not to hear the tunes at a faster road speed. It's to drown out the tranny whine in fifth! :small3d007:

I like the way it sounds, It's normal and lets ya know where your at. In fact, I like all the noises my Harley makes, it's a Harley.
