2008 SE Stage 1 Air Cleaner

I am getting ready to install the 2008 Screamin Eagle Stage 1 Air Cleaner and the intructions for REMOVAL #3 states to remove the fuel tank in order to remove the Support Induction Module Bracket. My question is do I have to remove the fuel tank to remove this bracket, or can the bracket be removed without tank removal? If I have to remove the fuel tank is there anything I need to mindful off? Thanks.

you can do it without removing tank but you risk scratching it and much time being frustrated..

Make sure you don't break the fuel tank quick connect when you remove it

You can just unbolt and lift the tank but be carefull of the fuel line over the motor mount if you lift it without disconnecting the line. It's about $45 and plastic breaks easily on the inboard end of the fuel line connection.

I didn't remove or lift my fuel tank. You can reach the bolts without scratching your tank if you are very careful and patient.

Same here, I didn't have to lift the tank until I installed the TFI
