I replaced my front mastercylinder with a chrome one. I replaced my brake line with braided stainless. I let the old fluid drain from my caliper for several days. Do I replace the fluid with DOT 4 or DOT 5?

Stay with what your owners manual tells you to use in the system to eliminate problems in the future if you sell the bike.

Like Jack said DOT4, you don't want to mix them unless you want jelly!

AND... have fun bleeding! Getting that last little bubble out can sometimes be a bear. When I did mine I pulled the caliper, put my old rotor in it to keep the pistons from shooting out, and then I tilt the caliper so the bleeder is the highest point, tap it a few times with a screw driver handle, and bleed it. Good way to get that last bubble that seems to get trapped...
