2006 flhtcu throttle cable

on the throttle cable tied to the frame under the front of the tank, air cleaner side ,is a plastic adjuster that has two wires coming off of it. could any one tell me what this is??? it seems to have about 3/8 slack on it. I would post a pic but I cant seem to get it from my phone. lol not tech savvy. I was thinking something like throttle position sensor. could some one please help

If I understand your description correctly, that is the cruise control "roll off switch". I have one on my '07, so I had to find out. I don't have cruise, so I never looked into how it works.

Breeze3at is correct, I believe it's wired into the loom even if you don't have cruse control as a feature.
