2004 Fat Boy Speedometer Hum

I am troubleshooting (a dead battery problem). My speedometer needle momentarily hums (and its needle deflects to -0 mph) momentarily when it's first powered up (such as when a new battery is connected).

Do others notice this characteristic about their Fat Boy (or other Softails)?

Have you properly load tested battery yet or as you said you were going to try a different battery and what was the result.

And if I may why the big colored type in your threads. It seems like you are yelling.
