01 Night Train Fuel Filter

My bike is a FI Night Train and once it gets 120 miles on a tank of gas the thing starts surging and bucking, its not real noticeable at highway speeds but in town its down right annoying...is there a pre-screen on these bikes this is my first harley and dont want to tear into something that is gonna get me no where
