Nitrogen in your TIRES

Some one on this site mentioned the use of NITROGEN instead of regular air to fill their tires.

Advantage: Tires run cooler and last longer
Disadvantage: Cost

Was it it worth it to use NITROGEN ??

Re: Nitrogen in your TIRES

No cost in Canada at Costco. I had them fill my tires on my truck last weekend and there was no charge.

I think that the truck drives different but maybe just my imagination. Seems to be tighter and less road noise.

Re: Nitrogen in your TIRES

Nitrogen does not pass through tires like oxygen does so presure stays up better.
Tires do run cooler on longhard runs in heat.
We also use it in costruction equipment it is less of an exploin hazard and tire hold up better over long service life.
