gi day all
![]() this is my first post i have a 1994 softail nostalgia , I received a set of 2000 softail front and real brakes so my question is can i fit them without to much trouble to my softail thank you |

Welcome to the forum
If I am not mistaken, the 94 had single pot calipers and the 2000 units you have are double pots. That was the first year of the upgraded brakes I believe. It is possible but you would have to change some things to make them work unless you could cobble up an adapter. You could always replace the lower fork sliders to accomodate the newer style calipers as the mounting is different. Aside from that, the master cylinder would no doubt be a different bore size to handle the two piston calipers verses the one piston stock units too. Best bet would to go aftermarket and buy some 4 piston calipers made for the bike and sell the ones you have. It would be much easier.
