HD Trike?

Does anyone out there have one of the new HD Trikes. I have been wanting to get one but wanted some feedback. I have a very difficult time with 2 wheels and thats why I ride mostly with my husband.

Re: HD Trike?

Thank you for that, I am just very unsure about the trike and wanted to talk to a few people who had one.

Re: HD Trike?

My wife has wanted her own bike for years, but our one attempt to get her on her own ended in near disaster.

She never learned how to drive a car with a clutch, and even though I have tried many times to teach her, she just couldn't get the hang of it (Just too much eye-hand-foot coordination for a true blonde, like the love of my life.)

Still, years ago, I had a chance to buy a very cheap beater bike that actually rode well, but was ready for the heap otherwise. It was only $300, so I figured I'd teach her on that and then sell it and buy her something nice.

We spent HOURS discussing the mechanical dynamics of the shifting process, (clutch and gear shift), and I had her ride on the front while I sat behind her and held my hands over hers helping her do everything until she herself said, "I'm ready"......and "Enough!!! I know I can do this!"

She was ready to try it out herself, solo!

Now, I don't have the results on film, but it went something like this:

As a result, ever since, I'm thinking a trike for her might be the way to go....of course it would have to have an AUTOMATIC transmission!!!

Better not let Cat see that vid, she'll greet you with a fry pan on the head.

Actually, since she's been back at the gym regularly lately, (getting in shape for our upcoming vacation to Maui in January....my birthday gift to her for the Big 5-0, but of course I benefit too...my pop didn't raise no fool! ), I think she might be able to kick my sad old butt without the frying pan! Cat's a babe, but she is a TOUGH babe!!
