Is IDS something new or did we have this on our old bikes. I seem to remember having rubber blocks in in my rear hubs on my bikes when I was a kid. Is this is a Harley cure for poor enginnering? I guess they don't make them like they used to or mayb they do

Re: Ids

It's an old idea that was used on a lot of the import bikes, it's a new thing for Harley baggers on the 08 models and retro for the 07 models. I agree that it has something to do with the engineering of the bikes too, just too many shortcuts and too many "new" and cheaper ways to manufacture the bikes now.

Re: Ids

Hi glider,
Thanks for all you do for the rest of us.

Is the IDS available for the '07 FXSTC? If not will the Touring set up work?

Thanks again, Al

Harley began using a sprocket damper system with the VRod.Or if you wish to find the original Harley damper pulley look in the primary of the 1982 Stugis.
