Re: Dyna tranny oil question

No, not HD Formula+, there are much better fluids, just read this test that was run here 4 bikes - 4 oils, the test begins - Harley Davidson Community

I'm sure you'll see there are better oils for your bike. You could go with Mobil 1, AMS, or a number of others, but hopefully this would convince you to use anything but the HD oils. Not that they are horrible, but definitely not superior.

Unhappy Re: Dyna tranny oil question

OOPS! My mistake.....I just went back and checked the posts on the HD Forum....they weren't talking about Spec-6 they were talking about SYN-3....about how bad it is.
That's what happens when you get old.
Where can I find Spec-6 oil??? You said you had to get it thru the internet???
BTW - I never pressure wash my bik...just hand wash. No rain recently....just a wash at the dealer when I got it services. Hopefully they wouldn't pressure wash it....or get water in the tranny....would they?
Thanks.

That's what I was kinda thinking.

You can use the dealer locater for the Spectro on their site.

Spectro Oils of America

Or look through this post and get the number to call Ken there. He's very helpful. (post #11)
