Use an HD gasket with the silicone sealing bead on it.. Pay attention to the bolts coming out, they are different lengths, and don't forget to torque them and in the proper sequence otherwise you end up with a leaker.

You should get the factory service manual for your bike.
I think your primary is the same as mine ('03 UC). The torque sequence is "front half" first, starting in the middle or "thin" section and staggering top to bottom moving towards the front. Then do the back "fatter" half again staggering top to bottom. I usually do it in several torgue settings ending up at the final value (on my bike that is 108 in-lbs). TQ |
