Dropping kind of hard into first gear

After wam up it seems that lately I've noticed, and maybe it's just in my head, that when I drop into first gear for take off, it seems to drop pretty hard, and sometimes grinds as I'm down shifting coming to a stop. I recently changed my transmission fluid, and I normally adjust my clutch myself, and am wondering if that's what I need. All other shifting is fine, and I don't have trouble finding nuetral.

Re: Dropping kind of hard into first gear

Is there a way to properly adjust the clutch hot?

Re: Dropping kind of hard into first gear

I wouldn't recommend that, the tolerances are for a cold clutch and if you do it hot, you could run into slippage once it's warmed up. You could make minor adjustments hot but not as a rule.
