Neutral light not coming on when bike/tranny hot

I recently installed a SE 6-speed tranny on my '03 Ultra. Now that the air temp here in the Houston area is getting up there, I noticed that the neutral light on the dash is not coming on or blinking dimmly with the engine vibration once the bike is good and hot. Have NOT taken the switch off to see if there are any shims under it to adjust the position of the switch inside the tranny. Any suggestions on this problem?

TQ

Check the switch with a meter to see if you have a connection, in the neutral position you should have continuity. If you have a single wire on the switch, you can ground it to see if the circuit to the light is OK. It should light the lite. Usually no shims under the neutral switches.

Check the wires for breakage right at the boot.Typical problem.
