Smell of oil

since I changed my trans oil from Syn3 to shockproof heavy I noticed that I can smell the trans oil when my bike get hot. is this common?

The shockproof has a distinct smell being a gear oil and if you got some on the trans housing when servicing it, you will get a smell when it gets hot until you wash the bike.

I use spectro in mine and i can smell it when i get home most times esp if i have to stop hop off open the gate and then hop back on to get to garage i let it idle were talking less than a minute.. now if i can ride right to garage no smell.. also you can smell it sometimes after a long highway run

Also smell migrating out of the transmission vent tubing... (Normal)

Thanks guys, I start with a bike was I only wash it every 6 months. So I guess a good bath may help. but I will wait to see If the replacement Mufflers come.
