pipes and race tuner

I have an 08 FHRC 105th Anniversary model and am wondering about changing the pipes and adding a race tuner. I installed Vance and Hines 2 into 1 pro pipe and race tuner on 06 softail and found a big difference in performance.

Is it worth doing similar but different pipes on FHRC? IF so, any recommendations?

Yes as long as you add the stage 1 air cleaner also as this will cool the bike down some infact loads and the power will be so much better

Loaded question sure to bring on the post
YES,
Race tuner I question what is the difference between a race tuner and a fuel manager. In many cases $$$$.
Some Race tuners do allow finer adjustmnets seldom if ever really needed or used by most street riders, but it sounds cool.
A good fuel manager and pipes will make your bike run stronger. No question about that.
However if you want to get the full advanatge you will need to just finish what you started add the AC and have your Stage 1. The AC change adds more kick than the pipes do.
This is one of those cases were the net gain from adding mods on top of mods really does produce good results.
The AC, pipes and fuel manager all working together allow you to take full advantage of each mod.
Their are some great easy to use Fuel managers out there that you can install your self require nor need any expensive dyno time or a trip to you high end tuner to make them work right. The TFI unit is one. I have heard the the market knock off of the TFI called a cobra works also but have never touched one. I am sure our friend on this site will list at least 4 more.

You will find some good info on Fuel managers, low cost stgae 1 AC and pipes here

I installed Vance & Hines slip ons, fuel pack & air filter on my 2008 FLHX and definitely noticed a performance increase. It brought the motor alive!

Be prepared for the louder pipes and the dent in your wallet.

Rush slip-ons, Arlen Ness Big Sucker air cleaner, HD Super Tuner on my 09 Street Glide.

Is the HD Super Tuner different than the Race Tuner?

Have a 07 Road King Classic and put on a set of Python slip ons and love them. Have great sound and look great as well, have noticed a big difference in the way the engine runs and pulls out of the hole. Python is made by Vance and Hines for drap spec. So still have the quality of Vance and Hines but will save you some cash. Just my two cents.
