Re: Still looks like it will cook your leg
I am not saying I won't buy a water cooled HD , but I darn sure will go kicking a screaming.
It's a motorcycle not a car without doors. New stuff new ways of doing things are nice . These newer bike run good and run a lot more trouable free than any thing in the past, but along with that comes more parts, more stuff to break specila tools and equipment to figure it out. The heat not that bad ,And I ride a lot of miles in any kind of weather.

Re: Still looks like it will cook your leg
Just my 2 cents but my 09 Ultra has way less heat issues than my 07 Road King I traded in for it. No heat issue at all for the passenger, none on the left side. Right rider leg yes some in stop and go traffic. Will go synthetic at the 1K service. Meantime moving my right leg to the right side of the floorboard works. I absolutely am impressed with this bike. And I live in south florida!

Also I would bet that if you hooked it up to test equipment you will find that it runs a bit richer when it needs it.

Re: Still looks like it will cook your leg
my 09 has rear cylinder shields installed as stock andi noticed no heat at all, infact it runs better than the 08 heritage and with much much less heat and the power is smooth and linear no hicups

Re: Still looks like it will cook your leg
Forgot to add that along with the stage one I added a SERT so the bike is getting a little more fuel as well. The tuner makes a wonderful difference, bike weighs more than the RK but is quicker!
