Thanks Patrick!

I'm actually posting this thread before Patrick gets here as a member...
Let me explain.....
I just purchased Pat's rider backrest and mounting hardware off his '05 Ultra, (I'm very pleased with the deal, $100 shipped), and am really looking forward to the low back pain relief I understand these give. While I love the comfort of my '03 Ultra, it's no less painful after a long haul than my Heritage was, and for that matter, any other Harley I have owned over 40 years of riding. If the economy was a little better, and I wasn't as concerned with our current state of the family business, (holding it's own but not growing), I'd spend the "big bucks" and get a custom seat, but for now, I have to make do with the stock seat, which actually is fine for the first couple hours, but I ache when I get off for a while. (Maybe it's my age more than the seat to blame!)
Getting back to Patrick....
I mentioned hdtalking.com to him, and he hadn't heard of it, so I have invited him to join us here.
Patrick, if you're reading this, you have found us!
I'm still new here myself, but I can assure you that you'll get a warm welcome from everyone when you arrive!
Thanks again for the good deal and for being such a gentleman!
Regards,
Richard

As a "post script" to those who use the Ultra rider back rest with the stock seat...what do you think Guys? Can I expect some relief?

Re: Thanks Patrick!

They do make a noticable difference. I tried a friends bike with one on it and liked it.

Re: Thanks Patrick!

I have the HD backrest on my '04 Classic and would not part with it.
After the heated vest, it's the second best accessory I have ever purchased.
