Re: Comfort/Reach: Reach or Sundowner?
My Harley dealer told me that you can listen to what everyone likes, but it's not gonna make a difference because it's what's best for you that matters. All you can do is try them out. I tried the sundowner, a Mustang and a Saddleman before settling on a Corbin. If I'm gonna spend a couple hundred dollars on something, I want to make sure it's what I want!!

Re: Comfort/Reach: Reach or Sundowner?
One word......CORBIN. Have sampled so many over the years and have found the classic solo to be the best for long trips. they look great, yes more money but if you're on a trip and the rear end is hurting, you'd pay anything to make it stop, so pay it up front. And there are no H-D stock seats that are worth much for comfort on a long haul.
Corbin is making me a Snake skin C/S for my 09 FLTRSE3, should be here in 3 weeks.

I second this opinion....I've been riding for a LONG time and over the years have had the luxury of trying out a lot of seats. Both on my own scooters and others that my riding buds had. In recent years, new technology has even improved seating, as gel and other new types of padding and ergonomically designed seats make comfort possible now that was only a dream when I first saddled up back in the late 60's. That said, over and over again, Corbin comes out on top. When I sold my Heritage, (last bike I laid out the big Corbin bucks for), I made the mistake of leaving that seat on the bike and keeping the original. (Which I still have if anybody is interested.) If I put that seat on eBay, I'd be able to get a nice percentage of what I paid for it back in my pocket, as opposed to my original equipment Heritage seat that no one seems interested in, but I wasn't thinking right, or I wouldn't have sold the Heritage in the first place. (I loved that scoot, and still miss it.) Anyway, if I get a couple of my guitars sold, which I plan to do on eBay soon, it's back to a Corbin for me. I can honestly say that, at least in MY humble opinion, they have always won the Butt Comfort Test on any bike I rode.
