01 Ultra Classic not getting fuel (injected)
I was trying to fix a short in the front lights and was letting the bike idle so the battery would not go dead. I shut it off and went to restart it and it fired and then just kept cranking. I checked all the fuses and they are good. I checked spark and it is strong but the plugs are dry, no gas. Any ideas on this. Glider thanks for the help in Electrial. It seemed to fix its self when I took the gas tank off to try and locate the fuel problem.

Does the fuel pump "prime" when you switch on the ignition?
It could be a hole in the fuel line inside the tank it it does "prime" and not run. Engine Dies at Half A tank - Harley Davidson Community

Re: 01 Ultra Classic not getting fuel (injected)
I guess I get the official (edited
) award. I found the plug under the tank pannel was unplugged that goes to the pump. This is my first Harley and if anything I learned a lot by the break down. Glider, thanks again! I am sure I will be back..Last edited by glider : Sep 13th, 2008 at 07:25 PM. |
