Re: 2009 Street Glide Improvements over 2008

29 chilly degress here in Pa with a pretty stiff wind, but since the sun was shining I decided to don the leather and take er out for a spin. Did about 40 miles.

Honestly, the only thing really cold were my fingertips. This is where a set of heated hand grips would come in real handy. I have them on my snow blower and they actually keep your whole body warmer, but I am not in the habit of riding in below freezing temp, so it would pretty much be a waste of money.

Just couldnt stand looking at the bike sitting there for over a week! It's gonna be a looooong winter!

Yo brathas.... Wasss up?
No action on dis here board for weeks.

Guess everybody's put their babies to sleep for the long winter? I was planning on doing the last HOG event here yesterday...a toy run, but it was 29 degrees and wind gusting about 35 mph with some flurries. Not my idea of a good time!

Well, till spring then....hope you all have a great Holiday season!

I just got mine back from the dealer. Too much ice and snow on the road to ride it right now. I can't wait to check out my Rinhart slip-ons, Stage 1, and SERT! Just let the sun come out long enough......

Re: 2009 Street Glide Improvements over 2008

Been out of town for 4 days and couldn't ride. Today I'm working on a new home for my UC - i.e. cleaning out the garage, new shelving and a motorcycle work station. Tomorrow is the 21st Annual Christmas Toys in the Sun Run. They shut down I-95 for us and should be in excess of 20,000 bikers there.

Last year I found myself on my RK riding behind an ancient couple on an Ultra. He had a CD of 50's Perry Como style christmas music. He played "Jingle Bell Rock" over and over again at volume almost the whole 26 miles and since our speed varied between 60 and wobbling slowly to keep upright we heard "Jingle Bell Rock" the whole way. At first it was annoying, then I wanted to kill him, then I kind of got to like it.

Well, now I have an Ultra with speakers and my own music and tomorrow I have to find him in the crowd so I can ride next to him and get my revenge!

Hey, it's all about the children, right?

Find Adam Sander's 'Hanukkah Song'. That should do it!

Assemble Pompano Harness Track 7- 9am. Depart 9:45 I-95 to I-595 (also shut down to cars) out to Markham Park.

Wow...that was awesome and quick....but a simple in Florida would have been sufficient enough for me, which is about 20 hours too far for me to even think about attempting.....

I was only asking as I travel the Northern Virginia sections of I-95 almost everyday.

check into heat glove and or inserts. The heated hand grips do not hold up well, only heat palms and do not do a very good job over all.
Heat gloves are nice even in what you might call cool weather.
