docking kit question

I am considering making the tourpak detachable on my 02 classic and outfiting with the 2up sissy bar and pad. The docking kits list a number of models it will fit including the electra glide standard but excludes the classic. Why?? What all do I need to make the tourpak and sissy bar interchancable? Thanks

Re: docking kit question

Not trying to be funny but a good parts man some of the docking stuff can get confusing and a parts person that know thier stuff can set you up in a heart beat.

The sissy bar and docking kit will share the same front location but they have different locations at the rear. It really is simple and requires 4 rear bolts with the plastic housings for the quick release.

Re: docking kit question

I intend to purchase on e-bay. Perhaps Smitty901 has the right idea. I may pruchase the sissy bar and backpad on e-bay and go the dealer for the docking hardware.

Ebay no telling what you'll end up with
Docking kits that fit more than on item can be tricky

Re: docking kit question

I'm looking in the P&A book and I don't see one for your bike. You may check with a dealer to see for sure, but maybe parts 53276-04 76326-00a and 53803-06 might be what you need.
