polycarbonite. Acrylic is more prone to shatter I think. All of my windshields are Lexan which is a brand name for polycarbonite.

I looked at the LRS web site posted by iceman24 and they had a good comparison between poly and acrylic.The LRS looks like a good option for a flip up windshield.Thankd again for the info.

I bought a Klock Werks 8.5 tinted, from Direct Harley Parts. 6000 miles later love it.
