Opinions on Vance & Hines True Duals?

What are the feelings out there on the V&H True Dual pipes for a TC-95 setup with SE 203 cams and free flow mufflers? Good swap?
I already have the HD stage 1 download and a Teclusion EFI module on the bike, and she runs great. No complaints. Mileage is good and lots of throttle.

Thanks,
Rod

Re: Opinions on Vance & Hines True Duals?

I got a great deal on a set of Vance and Hines true duals. I Put them on my 2000 RK with the Wild Pigs slip on mufflers I have had for the last 6 years. Love the sound of the true duals. Wish I had bought them from the start. If there is a loss of bottom end power It was not enough to notice. I say go for it....

I had the V&H True Duals with the Fishtail tip on my 08 Heritage. Loved the look and the sound. Had an issue with one of the fishtips breaking off and Vance and Hines replaced it at ZERO cost to me. Excellent product and service.

I have the V&H true duals bigs shots long, same size from front to back. They look fantastic and sound mean.

I have V&H Dresser Duals on my Ultra and have been happy with them, paired up with Rush slip-ons, 2" baffle. Nice sound when I get on it and not over bearing when cruising on the highway.

Thanks for all the great feedback!
Crow, interesting that you are running Wild Pig pipes.
Those are the exact pipes I have been running since 2005, slash downs with 2.25" baffles. Love the sound also. Not overpowering, but definitely there.

Thanks all,
Rod

Re: Opinions on Vance & Hines True Duals?

We recently installed V & H dresser duals with Krome Werks touring mufflers on my wife's 06 ultra. She's very happy with the set up. Nice deep tone with a good bark when you get on it but she can hear the radio at crushing speed.

Re: UPDATE: Opinions on Vance & Hines True Duals?

UPDATE:
Got them on and the bike is up and running again.
I was not expecting a big change in sound, since I am running the same mufflers as before the swap. But there is quite a difference, and I love them.
It's very difficult to describe just what the sound difference is, but it has a different beat somehow.
I need to get someone to drive it for me so I can hear it from behind I guess.
Anyway for what it's worth I think the true duals kit is a great deal on Harley baggers.

Rod
