I just went to Home Depot, bought a 12 volt remote and wired it to my High Beam. Velcroed it in the fairing. No batteries to replace, stays dry, hidden, works from a block away and is always easily to activate.

I do it the old fashioned way. I come down the street, goose it a little. One of the kids hear it and opens the door while im pulling up.

If no one is home to open it up........ride more.

I must be a wee bit on the strange side i use the jiffy stand to hold the bike while i open the shed door by hand
however i usually leave the bike to cool down outside and in full daylight it is easier to do a post ride check

That's the same garage door opening system I use.
