2 service manuals
I just bought a 2008 service manual .......and don't ask me as i already had one. It's called "getting old". Anyway,,,have a friend with a 2009 RKC, and thinking about giving one to him,,besides the frame difference, is there any reason the 08 manual would not work for his 09?

Really depends on your friend. If he is just an oil change guy, he probably will be fine with a manual that is close. If he is a guy who digs deep into problems, especially electrical, I would not use it. For the "most part" the manuals are probably interchangeable but how would you know for sure unless your proof read each one for changes. Sometimes there are small very important changes, sometimes not.

It's just me, but I would have to have the exact model year manual because of wiring harness colors and possible wiring changes.
