Re: oil filter

IMO, stick w/HD. Their oil might not be the best recommendation, but their filters are good.

Re: oil filter

There's some good stuff on this under the self help section, but I would second (or third) the recommendation for HD filters.

Re: oil filter

If you are doing your own oil changes, get a good oil filter removal tool BEFORE changing oil.
Limited space and sometimes they are on tighter than you figured.

Re: oil filter

Majority of riders prefer HD oil filter for their particular bike according to HDTalking polls. Go to the Self Help section on tips changing it out, from homemade drainage trays, to preferred filter wrench types. There are videos and detailed experiences as well as to what works best....enjoy!

Re: oil filter

What prompted you to buy a HD rather than continue with your Goldwing? My bro just bought an 08 GW and loves it. I rode it and, while it is definately a nice machine and, when looked at on a strictly value per dollar a better deal than a comparably priced HD, I just didn't "connect" with it. I know the GW has a loyal following though.
