Removing right front rotor

I'm sure a lot of you have removed the right, front brake rotor to show off your custom wheels.

My question is, do any of you regret it?

Did it make a noticable difference in your braking ability?

I am sure the ones that do can't write to tell us about it.

I would think running with just a rear brake is suicidal.

Re: Removing right front rotor

Possible he is referring to removing only ONE rotor from the front?

Not a good move on a heavy bike. It may be the difference between stopping in time and not stopping in time.

This would make no sense to me on a bike that would ever be ridden.
The front brakes in a hard stop do most of the braking. The dual rotors were not installed for looks or so Hd could charge you more . It was done because it makes a great efffective braking system.
How many post have there been from riders wanting stronger front brakes?
Function before looks on any bike you ride . I'll let OCC and the rest build the bar stools

Yep your correct. I misunderstood. For a minute I remembered seeing an episode of American Chopper where they were finishing the bike and they could not mount the front caliper so they left the bike with only the rear brake. They delivered the bike that way. I guess it was only a Theme show bike.

Glider and a few others are old enough to remember when front brakes were not required. There were many that removed them for looks.
Glider remember the mini front drum brakes?
looked like something off a bicyle but met the requirement.

I remember those drum brakes, barely better than dragging your feet to stop.
