Re: Transmission oil

I think oil has been a great subject, not sure why it is "touchy".

Not to me, I just try to pass on what I have found that works best from experience, not preferences to certain oils.

Re: Transmission oil

Had read on different forum sites some reviews and asked general opinions of different mechanics independent and dealers...not trying to push amsoil at all and I guess I haven't had a bad experience with it being pushed down my throat.

Re: Transmission oil

Not trying to stomp anyone, but "hear say" and "it works for me" does not give anyone decent information. The testing and results presented by Not Very PC is a perfect example what we need to be able to make good decisions about anything.

I know a guy who has over 100k on his evo and has used nothing but Rotell 15W40 deisel oil in it. He swears by it. Haven't had the guts to try it myself. Need more info.

Quick update. I have been rubbing amsoil on my head three times a day since your post, and nothing. Not even a bit of fuzz! Only thing I have noticed is my speech gets slower and I tend to grind my teeth.

I am now done with the testing of the miracle hair growth amsoil...
