Road Glide problem

My nephews 02 carbureted RG was running good till he shut it off for a few minutes. He started it up and it spit back and died. Got it started again and ran really rough. I wasn't there but he made no mention of any unusual noise. With over 50k on the clock I am willing to bet the tensioners went south and the timing is off. I am going to look at it tomorrow, check the plugs and run a compression test and open the cam chest. Any other suggestions that may save some time troubleshooting? Thanks to all!!

Re: Road Glide problem

This is a carburated bike. Will the codes be the same and are they accessed the same way? Thanks...Joe

Re: Road Glide problem

It should bring up the codes Joe.

More than likely it's a sensor going/gone bad.
