Re: Tires

I have used nothing but the original Dunlops on my 07 FLHRC. Just recently finished the Lee Parks "Total Control" motorcycle training course. I can tell you that my Dunlops stick. Don't know how you can compare stickiness, other than impression or opinion. I think your boards would be grinding HARD before tires started slipping. Use street tires for the street, race tires for the track. Race tires don't heat up fast enough for the street, and also can't handle as many heat cycles.

In the end, buy what feels right for you and your bike. I like the wear quality.

IMO Dunlops are the best for a HD for streeting riding, they are a bit harder compound that give longer wear in some case considerable more.
The other two often mentioned brands are good tires they are softer compunds that bite well but wear much faster.
Metzlers has had some recall issue the last couple years.
Many miles of riding on Dunlops they have not let me down they work well in heat or rain.
As for putting some of the tires that are not recommend for a Hd on . Well as I always say your ride you decide. For me I stick with the recommend tire.
So far none of the others have shown me they offer a better over all package for my ride.
