powder coat front forks

I was thinking about chroming out my front forks on a 2008 Ultra Classic until I saw one with black powder coat. Does anyone have a step by step removal and rebuild for my project.

One brief note on powder coating your lower forks - depending on how much grit there is on the roads you ride, the powder coat may not stand up. The PC on my engine (case and jugs, especially the front one) and tranny of my '91 Dyna is almost completely blasted off. When I redid the bike in '99, I went with a teflon coating from Poly Dyn instead. Unfortunately, I did not do the case and tranny case. Gonna do them this time around.

TQ

Re: powder coat front forks

I've had powder coated forks on two bikes now, soon to be 3 and never had any sort of problem.
