Live in Fairbanks, Alaska. Riding an '07 Ultra Classic - 45K miles, bought it new. Relatively few problems. Enjoy cruising the Last Frontier. I have riden to Seattle and back; great trip. First Harley was an '02 Fatboy, would really like to own both.
Signed up because of a floppy shift lever and looking for a solution. Looking forward to converstations...

Glad to have you aboard! :ws:rider
From Central Florida.

Depending on where the flop is at. It could bushings or the lever itself is worn from being loose to long, return spring etc.

:wbs From the Rocky Mountains. You're problem may be the transmission lever, it becomes loose and will wiggle on the shaft. It gets loose from use and the bolt that squeeze's will not tighten enough to take up the slop. There's a aftermarket lever that works good.

Reach in and see if you have to much wiggle, if so that's probably your problem. You can try and tighten the bolt but that's only a temporary fix.
