Wont Run Unless timing way advanced.

hi guys, i have a major problem and need some help from you experts out there. I have a 91 softail evo and all of a sudden i couldnt get it to start. after i tried everything i could think of i slowly started advanceing the timing. it now only runs when its way advanced, i would have to drill new holes in the sensor plate to keep it where its at. i have checked for intake leaks and VOES seems to be working because if i unplug it while its runnong it slows down. i tried changing the ignition module and coil with no luck. please help!!!! thanks.

You may want to check the operation of the VOES for proper operation. Under low vacuum conditions the switch is open and has no effect on ignition timing but you seem have advanced timing with it connected and retards when you disconnect it.
