Wiring Newbe, again

I ran a jumper wire from the positive post to the relay on top of the solenoid ( assuming this should crank the starter )..... nothing. Bads starter? Is it possible I burned something out when I tried to start it, if the wiring was not right?

You have to run that jumper to the small terminal with the green wire that is on the solenoid. If a no start or crank occurs, it could be the solenoid or the starter. You can jump the solenoid directly to the starter input to verify the starter itself.
