I keep both bikes in their own heated garage with the tanks full of gas, and have never had any leakage problems. If you are that concerned with fuel fumes, you might want to look into a large storage bag. Before I built my bike garage, I used a large heavy gage plastic storage bag with bags of air-drier in it to keep the moisture and everything else off of the bike. If there was any fumes, they would stay in the bag.
