Windshield Tinting

I was going to tint my RG Windshield to darken it up but read that most window tinting film cannot be used on Plexi-glass or Lexan, something about the plastic releasing a gas and causing the film to bubble.

I then read that you can use a cling type film, so I found some and tried it, tried it on the inside first and the air flow just about ripped it off, then put it on the outside and it seems to work fine.

Has anyone else tried this, and if so, what were your results?

No but I have tried buying a tinted one off flea-bay in all defferant sizes for $33.00 dollors in black and dark tinted in the 6" and 10" ... I have about 6 differnt windsheilds that I can change depending on how I feel at the time.. just a thought.....:s

I second the thought of Lakeforktx. I bought a tinted one from Ebay for about the price quoted in the reply and it works great. Good quality, packaged well and shipped on time.....

I always though photo-chromatic would be cool. dark in the sunshine, clear at night...
