I don't particular enjoy it but i never let it stop me. I've only started in the rain on PGR escort rides. We've been in rain and storms a lot . Cause we can NOT depend on our weather ppl here. We've missed many a good ride and get together s coz we listened to the "weatherman" . So now we just go! Hey we enjoy our ride too much i suppose.

Porter, thanks for your thoughts, I am not more happy with a tip top looking ride, I too want to enjoy my investment, and yes want it look tip top.....but I don't have 25K to throw around every few years either...I'm simply asking around who rides in the rain and appreciate the tips of what they do and how they preserve there tip top shape

I never "enjoy" riding in the rain, and avoid it whenever possible, but if you have the right gear it can be at least tolerable. The main problem is the safety aspect, you are a sitting duck for the consequences of any other vehicle's errors. "The first drop that hits you is God's fault, the second drop is your own fault".

Like all others I would prefer dry but rain and snow aint slowing me down. I have ridden in Minnesota winters and now ride every day rain or shine in Florida:p

I also have rain gear and if Im caught in the rain Ill I deal with it, but unless absolutely necessary will never head out in it if its already started, I agree with Hobbit it does sharpen your skills, but makes a big clean up to the bike afterward.

I live in Florida and like most of the southern riders if you ride sooner or later you will end up in a downpour. For 9 years I had only a bike for transportation so rain, cold, windy, hot I rode. Now I ride because I want to and rain doesn't stop me. Good raingear, Avon venom tires and goggles and I'm good to go. Stationed in Germany I rode every chance I got rain or shine, but no snow! Buy a good blower, wash it off, keep a good coat of wax on it and it will stay looking sharp.
