Who doesn't own a cage?

I've got my truck that I need for work. Haven't figured out how to carry all my tools on the Deluxe yet but as soon as I do i'll take that to work. I've also got my '47 chevy fleetmaster that comes out occasionally for a cruise with the hot rod guys. They like to give me a hard time if I show up for a car run on the Harley but when she calls I gotta ride....besides SOMEBODY has got to have some class in that group. :D

Not owning a Car has kept me from a promotion at work. Sears will not allow me to be a Trainer because I do not own a car. Sounds like discrimination to me:s

Sounds like discrimination to me too. Unless the job requires you to haul something in your personal vehicle what do they care how you get back and forth from work?

I dont own a Cage i have a company Van that gets me to from work everything else i do on the hog or borrow dads truck if need be.. ive used his truck 3 times in last 8 months why buy a cage

I don't want to hijack the thread but does the job description for trainer say you must have your own transportation or does it specificly say automobile. If someone is disabled and does not own a car but has transportation they could not be denied the position.

I don't own a "cage". I do own two trucks and an SUV though. The only term I hate worse than "cage" is "the ol' lady". Sorry, just my opinion.

I don't own a car, I live in northern Illinois so I do use my wife's mini van during the months of January and most of February depends on the weather of course and the salt on the roadway. I love to ride my ultra and hate driving the mini van. Don't skimp on clothing get Gerbings and the best rain gear you can find.

Due to the fact that I live in the snow belt of Michigan, and it gets very cold in the winter too, we own 2 4wd Suburbans, a Kia, and kid drives an escort. I would ride the Heritage everyday if I could, and already have this year in 20 degree weather for the 58 mile round trip commute.

Wife has a car. I have a truck. The truck is parked so much I get people at my door wanting to know if its for sale.:D

Like Tank, my wife owns the car, but then again, I love in southern California, another 300+ day/year riding area. I actually live near Disneyland and this makes being cageless that much easier. With all the resorts in the area, if I need a car (the necessary evil thing...) I just call one of the rental car places within a mile of my home and rent one for a day/week, whatever. When it comes to hauling, well same thing, enterprise rents pickup trucks, and Lowes/Home Depot all have truck to haul lumber etc.

My car expenses last year were under $500.00, this year it has been about $150, as we have had allot of early rain.
