Harley Davidson VIN Decoder @ Motoverse.com have not used this but it may work. You may check with the dealer they may be able to get the build sheet on your bike, My salesman in MN got them for me:s

Check your owner's manual, on page 14 of my softail manual, position 9 = Y = assembly plant = York PA U.S.A. I would think the dyna manual will have similar entries.

They are built in KC. At least thats what I always thought.

I still think Sportsters and Dynas are built in KC. Softails and Baggers are built in York. Don't know where the v rod comes from. These are just final assemblies because powertrains are up in Milwaukee area I believe.

The KC plant builds Sporters, Dyna, V-rads and the engines for the V-rod. The engines for the Sporters and Dyna's are shipped in to them.
