Wheel rim polish

On my last bike, with aluminum rear wheel, I used 'Flitz'. By the end of the first season my buddies were asking if I had the wheel chromed. I would buy the packs of circular wax applicators like the ones in the paste wax cans and use them to apply the Flitz, then use pieces of old bath towels to polish if off.

Works like a charm. Also keeps the water spots from becoming permenant marks on the aluminum.

What about using one of the power balls on them with the Flitz??

I tried that, but I couldn't get the ball in behind the belt/belt guard or the brake caliper. By the time I kept rolling the bike forward, polish, roll the bike, polish, it was just easier and quicker to do it by hand. Once you do it a couple of times the rim acquires a nice smooth finish that tends to keep the dirt and brake dust from sticking as much.

Thanks for the info about Mother's. I've been wanting something to clean and protect the factory rims.

It's "Flitz" and yes most stores carry it.
