Wheel bearings

Sorry to resurface an old thread but I have a question after reading through all this info. I saw a mention of a bearing classifaction of C3. I can't find any reference to anything like this on my bearings. I haven't removed them yet so would something like this be only on one of the sides?
I bought some new take off rims the other day that still have bearings in them. I want to replace them with new just to be on the safe side. Is SKF the best brand or are their others I should consider?

What year bike do you have. Does your bike use the 6205 bearings.

C3 refers to the clearance the bearing has within itself. When a bearing is press fitted or runs at hi speed,,extra room is needed. C3 is a "normal" every day clearance. It is not so much the bearing quality as the seal quality.

But to be honest with you, it's not a bearing issue at all. It is an application issue.
The spec on the bearing in our case, or to fix our problem, is almost irrelevant.
