It was a 1983 Honda CB900 custom. My dad stopped in the local Honda dealership in 1985 to get some parts for my 3-wheeler and they had three of these still in the crate. He knew I wanted to buy a motorcycle and told me this and we went there the next day and bought one and my brother bought a Nighthawk.

My first bike? A Kawasaki Coyote shown in the pic. First street legal ride was a 1978 Yamaha DT 250 Enduro, then to a 1980 Kawasaki KZ 1000. We gave up riding for a while after having kids. After they moved out of the house my wife bought me a 2006 Suzuki C90 Boulevard for our 25th anniversary and a Suzuki DR 200 Dual Sport for her to learn on. This summer we traded the C90 for a 2009 1200 Sporty for her and my 2009 Street Glide, the daughter got the dual sport.
