I just bought a 04 FLHTPI (back in the saddle after quite a few years) how do I know if its 88 or 96 inch. I thought that the police bikes always had a bigger motor. Also looking to do a full syn oil change - motor, tranny, primary. I have seen the benefits of Mobil 1 in cars would like to put it in the bike, what do you think

    This is what I use:

    Generic fluid recommendations

Engine: FULL synthetic 20W50 VTwin engine oil
Tranny: FULL snythetic 75W140 GL-5 gear lube
Primary: Fit-for-purpose chaincase/wet clutch lubricant (like HD Formula + or Spectro Primary, Redline Primary, etc.)

Automobile and motorcycle oils, molecular make ups are totally different...if you must go with sans dino, use syn 3...I know I will likely take alot of flack about the aftermarket lubs but the MOCO has put a ton of cash into the research of what is best for their products...
    and
motors are electric and engines are not...the only motor on your bike is the starter
