What kind of bars are on your touring bike?

Right now running 18" apes, hands are an inch or so above my shoulders, very comfortable.

Last king I ran stock bars and thought the were fine, definitely got some shoulder discomfort on the right after a few hours, nothing advil and stretching couldn't help. Now that I've run apes for 10k miles, I have no idea how I did stock bars for 100k.

BTW law in Florida is hands no higher than shoulders.

If possible, ride a friends bike with higher bars and feel it.

I'm 5'11" and high bars make me far more comfortable. It's a combination, I have apes and pegs on my crash bar that let me rest my heels on the very front of my floorboards and my toes on the peg, only a quick move to have my toes shift or brake. That and the apes has me in a nice position, absolutely superior than being hunched over stock FL bars and floorboards. Straight legs and arms. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1392357598.493276.jpg
