What is your favorite BEER!?

I am sober 26 years now, Tho I drank Bud and Anchor Steam Beer

While on the subject of beer, I saw a quiz show on Friday. One of the questions was:
A brewery in Queensland, Australia didn't know how to spell the word 'Beer' so when they brewed an alcoholic drink for the first time, what did they call it?
The answer was XXXX (or fourecks). I don't know if it's available in the States, but over here it is still known as Castlemaine XXXX.
Nice drink too, by the way.
Strange, but apparently true.

hi I'm into ales. Hobgoblin, old thumper, Sarah Hughes is a big favourite. we have a pub about 6 miles away does a lot of his own brewing & gets loads of ales to try, working my way through the pumps.
:p

[When in Canada it is Kokanee but when in Venezuela is is Polar Pilsen

Polar is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!:s

Stopped drinking about 15 years ago. But when I was tipping the glass, Bud bottles was my favorite at home, and on draft, Yuengling lager. I can also recall spending some time in the great state of Texas courtesy of the Air Force and enjoying Coors (which at that time wasn't found east of the big river) and Pearl Beer.

Someone lied to you TomH65. We are somewhat backward here, but not quite THAT bucolic--:taunt

As every good Queenslander knows, the 4 X's signify the strength of the beer.
So using that formula, a beer with XXX is not as strong as a beer with XXXX.

Hope you didn't lose any money on that one.

Myself,i prefer Champagne to beer.

Grain Belt Nordeast!
Great hometown Minnesota beer. Brewed for the Northeast Minneapolis part of town. thats where Grain Belt started.
