1) The instruction we got (impromptu class in the parking lot of the dealership for four hours) was invaluable.

2) Cars really do not care

3) Look, Look, Look

4) Brake early

5) Harley's have a lot of low end torque

6) Shift it like you mean it!

7) Yes, there are bugs out in early spring

8) At 50 degrees and 55 MPH it can be chilly

9) Caution and care are of the utmost importance

10) RIDING IS FUN!!

Cant wait for another warm day to go again!!

As I get older #8 really gets my attention! Never used to bother me.:(

kzoo, glad your back in the saddle, bet you are too. I try not to get into any posting about cold weather riding here on the forum, being from Fl. I can't say much. But I do agree #8 is something I can relate to.

No 8 - that explains why people usually look at me funny when I say 40 degrees and up, I am good to go. I know my knees usually do not like me when I get here, but I just focus on the ride home.

Still amazes me thought since I started, how cold it really is when you are in the open air.

Add to that, a windshield makes a big difference :D

No 8 for me also...Call me what you will :bigsmiley12:.I havent riden for mts but it needs to hit 60 for me..:small3d031:
